Gratulerer med Morsdagen! February 08 2015

Her er et bilde av meg og min mor for noen år tilbake mens vi plukket blomster.
Jeg syns derfor at det passet å ha med Flowerdrops ringer,
her med rubin og topaz ..
Og vet du hva.. mamma har en av dem <3

Congratulations on Mothers day!
Here is a photo of me and my mom a few years back
in a field of flowers.
I thought it was only appropriate to add my Flowerdrops rings,
here with ruby and topaz.
And guess what… my mom has one of them <3

#ArtjewelryChallenge February 02 2015

Ane Jewellery has been nominated!

The talented San Francisco based jewellery designer Jeannie Hwang has ask me to take part in the Facebook ‪#‎ArtjewelryChallenge.
Started by Donna Greenberg the idea is to show the incredible diversity of all the jewellery worldwide!
So for the next 5 days I will share a piece of my jewellery, and each day I will nominate another artist to show us theirs.

Today I nominate Susannah Baldwin, a wonderful artist and friend from the years at University. Show us your awesome work!:)

I want to start in the early beginnings. This is a brooch I made my 3 year at University of Creative Arts. I made a collection inspired by the Narcissus myth and on this picture I show you “Echo” a brooch made in silver and partly goldplated with periodot, citrine and garnet.
This piece was exhibited in London at New Designers and was sold to a lucky lady:)

Day two of the ‪#‎ArtJewelryChallenge started by Donna Greenberg.

Today I will nominate Lizzie Peers, she is a highly skilled silversmith, and although her main focus is not jewellery.
Her work is too important to miss out on the #ArtJewelryChallenge !

The pictures below shows “Bon Bon Yeah” from 2009.
This is a silver bowl that I made when I lived at Bishopsland Education Trust. It was the first time I raised a silver plate to a bowl and I was very proud of the end result. The “ Bon Bon Yeah” was made for an exhibition at Victoria & Albert museum in London. Since then it has been on tour in the U.K and Norway. It is now back in my flat:)

Day three of the ‪#‎ArtjewelryChallenge started by Donna Greenberg.

I was nominated by the talented San Francisco based Jeannie Hwang.
For 5 days I will share a piece of my jewellery, and each day I will nominate another artist to show us theirs.

Today I nominate Master engraver Hratch Wachuma Nargizian.

I meet him in 2010 when I was invited to an Art Residency in San Francisco. I was so intrigued by engraving and wanted to learn from a Master! So one day I knock on Hratch´s door and that was the beginning of a 3 month engraving internship. Hratch is a great teacher, mentor and friend
Show us your amazing engraving!

The picture below is the ad for my 2010 San Francisco Exhibition.
At that time I hand forged big silver chains, letting the swirly shape of the silver wire create patterns I now engrave. This ad was made for my Solo exhibition in San Francscio. Which is kinda cool!:)

Day four of the ‪#‎ArtjewelryChallenge started by Donna Greenberg.

I was nominated by the talented San Francisco based Jeannie Hwang.
For 5 days I will share a piece of my jewellery, and each day I will nominate another artist to show us theirs.

Today I nominate Влад Кладько
A creative jewellery artist that makes unique adornments at Sugarshop Oslo.
Hit us up with your amazing work!

The picture below shows my 2012 Flowerdrops collection.
At the time I made these I was renting a workshop bench at Sugarshop Oslo. I wanted to make a collection with an exclusive touch so I engraved each flowerdrop by hand and set the jewellery with diamonds, rubies and safires. I think this is quite a delicate and feminine collection.

Last and final day!
Day Five of the ‪#‎ArtjewelryChallenge started by Donna Greenberg.

I was nominated by the talented San Francisco based Jeannie Hwang
For 5 days I will share a piece of my jewellery, and each day I will nominate another artist to show us theirs.
For my last day I will nominate a Norwegian jeweler that has astonish me. Remy Bugge Not only are you a brilliant jeweler and stone setter.
You are also an inspiration!

The picture below shows a recent angelwing pendant I engraved.
I wanted to make a large angelwing that demanded attention. I spent days engraving this piece. The pendant is made in silver and with white enamel. I really love the result and I know the female costumer wears it everyday.
